UPDATE: Anthony Armstrong Fined For Uniform Violation

Anthony Armstrong will likely never forget Sunday, October 10, 2010. It was the date of his first touchdown catch, a beautiful leaping grab on a deep pass from Donovan McNabb that got the Redskins back in the game.

Apparently, it was also the date where Armstrong found out firsthand that NFL really stands for No Fun League. Armstrong just posted on his Twitter account that the NFL has fined him for something that happened on Sunday.

Sunday will always be special to me: First NFL touchdown AND first NFL fine! Ouch!less than a minute ago via Touiteur

One would think the fine would have to do with his touchdown celebration, which saw him bring out the dougie. If so, that would be pretty lame. Armstrong's taken a long journey to get to the NFL, and he should be allowed to celebrate a major personal milestone. Then again, this is the No Fun League, so I can't say I'm surprised.

As it turns out, the fine was for a uniform violation, specifically his socks, according to Rich Campbell of the Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star. Still kind of lame, but at least that's less lame than fining him for his celebration.
