PHOTO: The Redskins Were This Close To Beating The Colts

The Redskins' final offensive drives were pretty ugly, as Donovan McNabb and company got nowhere in five plays in the final 2:30. But as crazy as it sounds, they were so, so close to a miracle 80-yard touchdown pass to Joey Galloway. As you can see above, it took an amazing one-handed grab by Aaron Francisco for the Colts to seal the game. If Francisco doesn't time that jump perfectly, or if McNabb lofts the pass just a foot higher, Galloway makes the catch and likely goes down the sideline for the game-winning score.

It just goes to show you how small the margin for error is in close games. The Redskins have received their good share of fortune in previous close wins. Tonight, they got a little bit unlucky, per se, for the first time.
