Half Smokes Highlights: McNabb vs. Vick Revisited

Sunday's Redskins-Eagles game has huge implications for both sides. The winner takes control of the NFC East and, at least in the short-term, determines a winner of the Donovan McNabb trade during the off-season.

As hyped up as this meeting is, it still pales in comparison to when a Super Bowl is at stake. Of course, I'm talking about the 2005 NFC Championship when Michael Vick led the Falcons to Philadelphia for a chance to play the Patriots in the Super Bowl. The Eagles had made it to the NFC Championship the previous three seasons only to fall short, and the Falcons back for the first time since 1999.

Bitter temperatures and two stout defenses kept McNabb and Vick from having truly spectacular games, but both players provided moments of brilliance, the last time they faced off against each other. One can only hope we get another classic on Sunday.
