Chris Cooley Practices Thursday, Should Play Sunday After Suffering Mild Concussion

When it was first reported that Chris Cooley suffered a concussion, it didn't look like he'd be able to play right away. However, it turns out Cooley's concussion was minor, and after taking part in practice today, it looks like he will indeed play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Via TBD's Mike Jones:

Shanahan said Cooley practiced w no problems and will play just as he normally will.

Cooley also reportedly said that he's fine and he wouldn't do anything differently in his approach going forward. Obviously, there's some concern anytime a teammate says you played through a concussion, which is what Fred Davis did earlier this week. However, Cooley cleared the air about that Monday in his radio segment on 106.7 The Fan, and seems to be okay now.

The Redskins will need Cooley as a checkdown option against a Bears defense featuring a strong pass rush, led by Julius Peppers.
