Last week about this time it looked like the Redskins might be without kick return specialist Brandon Banks for the better part of a month. Now, just a week later and as the game against the Eagles slowly approaches, it appears that Banks might not even miss a game after undergoing surgery on his knee.
Return ace Brandon Banks NOT among the Skins early inactive projections. Team expects he will play. Clinton Portis IS among early inactives
It would be pretty miraculous for Banks to make it all the way back in time to play in the game tonight. Knee surgery is definitely nothing to scoff at, and Banks might not even miss a game.
Obviously his return (if you can call it that) would be a huge boon to the Redskins special teams unit that needs to perform well to help out a stagnant offense. Banks could help generate some very important field position tonight for the Redskins. If he plays, that is.
