Eagles vs. Redskins: Eagles Tack On Field Goal for 45-14 Lead at Half

The Eagles continue to pad their lead. David Akers added a 48 yard field goal to give the Eagles a 45-14 lead over the Redskins at halftime, in what has been an embarrassing game so far for the home team.

While the Redskins offense has continued it's struggles, it is the Washington defense who's been the biggest disappointment so far.

When the Redskins defensive staff takes a look at the Eagles offensive statistics from the first half, needless to say, they will be sick to their stomachs.

The Eagles have racked up 421 yards through one half. A single half. And QB Michael Vick is 14 for 18 for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns passing, in addition to his two rushing scores.

The storyline headed into this game was all about McNabb, with the sudden contract extension he received just before the game started. Through one half, the main storyline for the Redskins looks to take a another negative turn.
