Rob Bironas hit his third field goal of the afternoon, a 40 yarder, to give the Titans the lead at 16-13 midway through the fourth quarter.
After rookie Rusty Smith took over for a injured Vince Young, the Titans drove down the field on a 7 play, 72 yard drive. The drives biggest play was a 52 yard catch and run by Nate Washington. Washington dodged a would be tackle from safety Kareem Moore (a troubling trend for the Redskins), which extended his run extra dozen yards.
But as has been a trend this game, the Redskins defense, injured players and all, rose to the occassion inside the red zone. They have contained star running back Chris Johnson thus far, holding him to under 100 yards.
