PHOTOS: Washington Redskins Senior VP Tony Wyllie Prematurely Celebrates

New, 1 comment

When I saw Graham Gano's 47-yard game-winning field goal attempt be on line, I figured it was going in. So I jumped out of my seat, prepared to celebrate a big win. Of course, it all ended up falling short, and the Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans headed into overtime.

So it's probably a bit unfair to poke fun at someone else that was prematurely celebrating. But screw it, I'm going to do it anyway, because it involved Tony Wyllie, the team's senior vice president. FOX's cameras cut to Wyllie after the kick was missed, and ... well, you'll just have to make the jump and see for yourself.

This is Wyllie's "I know it's going in" face.

This is Wyllie's "Dammit, it didn't go in, we have to play overtime, we didn't win, and some annoying blogger is going to make fun of me about it" face.

Cheer up, Tony. You hardly were the only one to prematurely celebrate a big win. And hey, they won anyway. Maybe your celebration inspired Gano to hit the game-winner in overtime.
