Vikings Vs. Redskins: Leslie Frazier Says Brett Favre Will Start At Quarterback

New, 1 comment

When news broke that the Minnesota Vikings fired coach Brad Childress, one potential assumption was that this also meant the end of the Brett Favre era. At 3-7, this seemed like a perfect opportunity for new coach Leslie Frazier to build for the future and see if Tavaris Jackson could handle being the starting quarterback.

But Frazier shot that speculation down emphatically in his press conference today, saying that Favre will start for the Vikings when they play the Washington Redskins next Sunday. Via Jason La Canfora of NFL Network:

Frazier says he's sticking with Brett Favre as starting QB "without hesitation."

This is very good news for ball-hawks like DeAngelo Hall. The Redskins have force 16 fumbled and have 10 interceptions this season, and we all know Favre's propensity for turning the ball over. Then again, Jackson may not have been much better, considering it would have been his first extended playing time of the season.

Either way, count on seeing Favre come Sunday.
