New Redskins Safety Macho Harris Supposedly Played In A Fairfax Flag Football League

Desperately needing a safety after the injuries to LaRon Landry and Anderson Russell, the Washington Redskins signed Macho Harris, a 2009 fifth-round pick of the Eagles that hails from Virginia Tech. At first glance, Harris doesn't seem so thrilling, except for his name (pretty fitting), his sort-of local connection and the fact that his Twitter page needs to be updated.

But that was before this. There are rumors that Harris was killing time this summer and fall with all of you hopeful football players just looking for a way to stay in shape. According to 106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen, Harris was playing in the Fairfax Flag Football League.

↵↵Apparently Macho Harris had been playing in the Fairfax Flag Football this fall. Shades of Vince Papale.

The league hasn't confirmed this, but there have been a couple unofficial confirmations out there. According to one member of the league, he was on a team called Novacaine with Mike Imoh, among others. Here's the league page, and here's the team page for Novacaine. If Harris indeed played in this league, this vaults him way up the list of my favorite Redskins.
