The Minnesoton a Vikings have quickly tied the game 7-7 in the first quarter on an Adrian Peterson 5 yard run for a touchdown.
The Vikings used their most dangerous offensive weapon, Peterson, and the Redskins defense could not stop him. Peterson accounted for 52 of the 71 yards on the drive, with 34 of them receiving and 18 of them rushing. The Redskins defense was guilty of bad angles and poor tackling as they have allowed the Vikings to score on their opening drive for the first time this season. As great as the offense's first drive was for the Redskins, that was about how bad the defense was on their's.
If the Redskins hope to win this game, they must be able to contain Peterson, as he is the one player that must always be accounted for. The Redskins do not want to get into a shootout with Brett Favre and the Vikings, as the Redskins this year have shown they cannot win that type of game.
