Former Redskins defensive lineman Dana Stubblefield will be serving a 90 day prison sentence for stealing his ex-girlfriend's mail, according to Cindy Boren of the Washington Post.

Stubblefield, who was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, had admitted to turning in a change-of-address form to have his former girlfriend's mail (and her unemployment checks) delivered to him.

Stubblefield played three largely unsuccessful seasons in Washington after being very effective in San Fransisco. Stop me if you've heard this one before; he recorded a career high 15 sacks, then joined Washington in free agency the next year. Proceeded to disappoint. It's a tale as old as time.I guess he spent that big contract, otherwise he wouldn't need his ex-girlfriend's unemployment check, but then again I guess every lit bit helps.
