Mike Shanahan's Next Conversation With Albert Haynesworth

New, 1 comment

Surely the relationship between Albert Haynesworth and Mike Shanahan has resulted in some epicly awkward conversations. In Sally Jenkins' column in the Washington Post yesterday, she mentioned a conversation in which Shanahan told Haynesworth to "pick up the pace" in practice, and the defensive lineman was "unresponsive."

With Haynesworth already gone from Washington and appealing the Redskins' decision to suspend him without pay, its entirely possible that Haynesworth and Shanahan will never speak to each other again. Or maybe they will be forced to speak again. Like if Haynesworth wins the appeal and Shanahan has to hand him a check for $847,000.

If they ever do speak again, the conversation will likely be one of the most awkward events in the history of mankind. And so we've come up with a list of a few icebreakers that Shanahan can use to lighten the mood when he sees Haynesworth again.
