The NFL Players Association has filed a grievance on behalf of suspended Redskin Albert Haynesworth. The NFLPA will try to get back some of the salary that Haynesworth will forfeit after being suspended December 7 for "conduct detrimental to the team."
In base salary alone, Haynesworth stands to lose $847,000, the equivalent of four game checks.
Via CSN Washington, the Redskins' defense will be to highlight the abundance of issues that Haynesworth had with teammates and head coach Mike Shanahan. The PA will counter with the fact that Haynesworth didn't receive a written reprimand until he was suspended.
