I really want to believe that Mike Shanahan didn't just bench Donovan McNabb because he revels in all the controversy it would stir up. I hope that he did it because he truly thinks that Rex Grossman gives the team a better chance to beat the 'Boys. But now that I look at Grossman's only career game against the Cowboys, I'm not sure that is the case. Get ready to cringe if you haven't been already:
↵15-32 (46.9%) 195 yds. 0 TDs, 3 INTs. QB rating of 27.5
↵Not good. As I normally do, I agree with Hogs Haven on this one.
↵↵↵Agree w/ a lot of fans. Can we (try to) sweep Dallas first, THEN try the Grossman experiment?

We don't know why they are choosing to bench McNabb or what it says about the future. But I'd like to think that a win against the hated Cowboys would be more important for the coaching staff than trying to make a move for the future. Especially when there is still time to make that move after this weekend. But if the team made rational moves, they wouldn't be the 2010 Washington Redskins.
