Redskins Vs. Cowboys: Jason Witten Gives Dallas A 20-7 Lead

Well, that six point deficit didn't last long.

The Cowboys quickly responded with a 9 play, 91 yard drive which ended in a Jason Witten 14 yard touchdown catch that gives the Cowboys a 20-7 lead.

The key play on the drive was a trick play that had Felix Jones running the wild cat, and then handing the ball to quarterback Jon Kitna, who then threw the ball back to Jones for a 32 yard gain. The other key play in the drive was a 15 yard roughing the passer penalty on Andre Carter on a third down that would have forced the Cowboys to settle for a field goal. Instead, it gave them new life and the rest was easy. Kitna hit a wide open Witten who made a man miss and then strolled into the endzone, giving the Cowboys the two score lead.

Although Rex Grossman and the offense scored on their previous drive, the fact that Dallas responded so quickly proves that the offense will need to play near perfect from now on if they want to climb back into this one.
