After several lack luster quarters from both teams, the Jags have finally scored again, tying the game with a 34 yard field goal from Josh Scobee.
For much of the second and third quarter, both offenses struggled. Rex Grossman so far is 11/25 for 102 yards with a TD pass and a pick. And with some of the throws he's missed this game, most would consider him to be playing like "bad Rex" right now.
Thanks to the defense, the Redskins have been able to stay in this game. Despite losing multiple starters on defense, the D has been able to generate good pressure on David Garrard, with 3 sacks and several QB pressures. It is remarkable that the defense hasn't given up more points given their current state, so they should be commended for their efforts so far.
As for Jacksonville's latest scoring drive, it was an 8 play, 62 yard drive that lasted nearly 4 minutes. The Redskins continued to stiffen up inside the red zone, and because of that, continue to bail out the offense that is currently lifeless.
Let's see if the offense can finally put some good drives together.
