Redskins Vs. Giants: Anthony Armstrong Scores To Cut Giants Lead to 28-7

The Redskins have finally gotten on the board, with Anthony Armstrong scoring on a 33 yard pass from Donovan McNabb late in the third quarter, cutting the Giants lead to 28-7.

Washington was able to score on a 4 play, 72 yard drive in which the offensive line was finally was able to afford McNabb with plenty of time, and the receivers he threw to were finally able to make the catch. Running back James Davis was able to take a screen 28 yards inside Giants territory. Three plays later, McNabb was able to hit a wide open Armstrong over the middle on a well executed play-action fake. Armstrong was open by several yards inside the endzone and was able to secure the catch, cutting the lead to 21.

Fortunately for the Redskins, the quick score gives them a chance to get back in the game. If they are able to continue to get stops against the Giants, and keep the momentum going on offense, perhaps the Skins could climb back in it.
