Washington Redskins Injuries: LaRon Landry Will Practice This Week

Earlier today, LaRon Landry said that he hopes to return to the team by the end of the season. Apparently, that could happen as soon as this week.

In his weekly press briefing, Mike Shanahan said that Landry may be able to play next week when the Redskins take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at FedEx Field next Sunday.

"He's going to give it a shot this week. He's out of his boot, and hopefully he can help us out this week," Shanahan said.

Landry had said that he was "looking forward" to getting back and practicing this week. He was having a Pro Bowl season until going down in a Week 10 loss to the Eagles with an achilles injury. Landry also had an embarrassing game against the Eagles, jawing with DeSean Jackson minutes before Jackson zipped by him for a game-opening touchdown. Nevertheless, his return will be a big boon to the Redskins going forward.

Shanahan also said that running back Ryan Torain is supposed to practice on Wednesday "with no limitations." Carlos Rogers, on the other hand, is still up in the air.
