The Redskins have capitalized on the momentum they gained at the end of the first half. Unfortunately, they could not punch the ball into the end zone, but they now have a 16-14 lead after a 21-yard field goal by Graham Gano.
The Redskins picked up most of the yardage on a long pass from Donovan McNabb to Santana Moss on the first play from scrimmage. A 15-yard horse collar penalty added to the big play, putting the Redskins inside the 10-yard line. However, they could not reach the end zone on three plays. Ryan Torain ran twice to get the ball to the two-yard line, but on third and goal, Clinton Portis was stuffed for a loss of a yard, forcing the Redskins to settle for the field goal.
Moss now has over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown.
