Redskins Vs. Rams: St. Louis Retakes Lead On Kenneth Darby Touchdown

Just when it seemed like the Redskins had all the momentum, the Rams strike back to retake the lead. They went on a 12-play, 74-yard drive that culminated in a 12-yard touchdown run for Kenneth Darby, who earlier replaced an injured Steven Jackson. St. Louis now leads 21-16.

The Rams kept the drive alive with several short passes against the Redskins' blitz. Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett was visibly upset with his defense, particularly his safeties. They allowed too much cushion, allowing the Rams to get first downs on checkdown passes.

The onus is on the Redskins offense to sustain a long drive in order to keep their tired defense off the field.
