Are you a Redskins fan frustrated with Graham Gano as the Redskins kicker? Are you a Redskins fan tired of a decade of terrible kicking? Don't worry guys, because Gano is changing his entire kicking motion this summer to get better!
↵↵↵↵↵↵ "I'm a three-step kicker, so my first jab step -- the first step in the process -- has been a little off this season, so I'll probably switch to a two-step and should be a lot more consistent. ... [Taking three steps] is just something I've done my whole career, gets my momentum going. But now I think I have the leg strength that I don't need that first step."

Gano deserves credit for recognizing a problem and fixing it, to be fair. He claims it's not a big change, and I'm not a kicker, so I'll take his word for it. I just find it funny that Mike Shanahan continually placed his trust in a kicker that was so bad that he now has to go back and fundamentally change the way he's kicked for his entire career.
↵Oh, and as for Gano's response to Shanahan's continued claims that his problems are more mental than physical?
↵↵↵↵↵"I never had a problem mentally. I'm very mentally strong," he says. " I think it's just technique. I can put the ball through from 60-plus. I just need to work on my mechanics."
↵
Take that Shanny.
