The Washington Redskins will be facing a Philadelphia Eagles team on Sunday that is desperate for a win after starting 1-4 on the season. As it turns out, they will also likely be facing an Eagles team without a couple of their top players. One such player is defensive lineman Trent Cole.
Cole has been dealing with a calf injury, one that sidelined him for the Eagles' 31-24 loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. In his press conference, Eagles coach Andy Reid said Cole would be unlikely to play against the Redskins. Via the team:
Reid: Trent Cole (calf) and Jason Peters (hamstring) will be a stretch to play this week.
That would be a big loss for the Eagles, as it was on Sunday in the loss against Buffalo. SB Nation Philly has a full recap of Reid's press conference.
