The Washington Redskins running back situation could be fairly complex for most of this season, but it won't be this week. Ryan Torain saw his first action of the 2011 NFL season against the St. Louis Rams, and he came out on fire. With Tim Hightower listed as questionable going into this week's match-up against the Philadelphia Eagles, Torain may be as close as you get to a sure thing for the Redskins this season.
SB Nation's fantasy partner numberFire projects Torain to earn 10.85 fantasy points this week, but lists him as a high risk player. I disagree. Torain will get the majority of carries against the Eagles defense that is giving up 140 rushing yards per game, and is ranked 30th in the league against the run. He tallied 135 yards and one touchdown for 19.50 fantasy points in his last game, and could eclipse that this week.
Torain isn't the type of player who you can count on to start for your team every week. He's injury prone, and he'll be splitting time with Hightower for the most of the year. But in Week 6, add him and start him.
