Chris Cooley Injury Update: Washington Redskins Tight End Has Broken Hand, According To Report

The latest Chris Cooley injury update is bad news for the Washington Redskins and any fantasy owners who somehow still have the Redskins' tight end on their roster. Cooley left the Redskins' game against the Philadelphia Eagles after taking a hit on a tackle by Nnamdi Asomougha, and according to an ESPN 980 report, Cooley broke his hand on the play.

We know for sure that Cooley will not be returning to the game because he was spotted on the sidelines without pads on. The latest report confirms the suspicions most had at the time the injury was first sustained.

Cooley has had a poor year receiving, but his blocking ability has always been essential to the Redskins in their 3-1 start. Fred Davis will have to step up even more to replace Cooley if he indeed misses a lot of time.
