Eagles Vs. Redskins: Redskins Add Gano Field Goal, Cut Lead 20-6

The Redskins opened the second half with a quick strike to get into the Eagles red zone, but their drive would instantly stall inside the ten, settling for a field goal to cut the Eagles lead to 20-6. Brandon Banks started the half with a 47 yard kick off return to put the ball at the 40 yard line. On the first play of the half, Mike Shanahan would call a flea flicker. Roy Helu would pitch it back to Rex Grossman who found Jabar Gaffney streaking down the middle of the field for a 45 yard gain down to the Eagles’ 15 yard line.

The Skins opening drive would quickly stall there, however, when Rex Grossman missed Santana Moss badly in the right flat on 3rd and 3 at the Eagles 8. Grossman sailed the ball out-of-bounds. It was a quick and disappointing result after the big kick return and the flea flicker put the Skins instantly in the red zone.
