Washington Redskins Injury Report: Trent Williams Misses Practice, As Expected

The Washington Redskins got to the practice field missing a key part of their offensive line in left tackle Trent Williams. Williams suffered a high ankle sprain and is not expected to play this week and for possibly a few weeks. "Usually high ankle sprains are a couple of weeks, sometimes more. But I'd say in the area of 2-3 weeks," head coach Mike Shanahan told the media today, about Williams injury.

Another key Redskins player missing from practice was safety Oshiomogho Atogwe, nursing a knee injury. Atogwe had his best game of the season last Sunday, getting his first interception, notching 8 tackles, and a sack. Also missing time was back up cornerback Byron Westbrook. Tight end Chris Cooley also missed practice with his knee and finger issues as expected, already being ruled out for this week's game against the Carolina Panthers.
