NFL Injury Report, Week 7: Oshiomogho Atogwe Listed As Inactive For Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins' list of inactives for their game against the Carolina Panthers is out, and safety Oshiomogho Atogwe will not play in the game with a knee injury. Atogwe missed practice all week, so his absence does not come as a huge surprise. Reed Doughty will start at free safety for Atogwe.

The loss of Atogwe stings, especially against Cam Newton, Steve Smith and a pass-heavy Panthers offense. Doughty will have to play well above his capability in providing deep help if the Redskins are to win this game. The Redskins may consider moving LaRon Landry to free safety and playing Doughty closer to the box.

The other inactives for the Redskins are Donte' Stallworth, Byron Westbrook, Chris Cooley, Trent Williams, Markus White and Darion Scott. With Stallworth sitting due to injury, third-round pick Leonard Hankerson will be made active for the first time all season.
