Redskins Vs. Panthers Score Update: John Beck Gets First Passing TD Since 2007, Redskins Trail, 30-20

It may not matter for the ultimate outcome, but John Beck has officially thrown his first touchdown pass since 2007. Beck led the Washington Redskins on a long scoring drive, capping it off with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Fred Davis to cut the Carolina Panthers' lead to 30-20 with five minutes remaining. The Redskins tried an onside kick to get the ball back, but the Panthers easily recovered.

The drive took place largely in garbage time, but it was a display of some of the things Beck does especially well. He was mobile and stood up in the pocket, and his receivers helped out. The drive was kept alive by a big 10-yard catch by Niles Paul, his first of his career.
