Week 8 NFL Lines And Odds: Redskins Now As Many As Seven Point Underdogs Against Bills

We're just a few short days away from the start of Week 8 in the 2011 NFL season. There is one undefeated left in the league -- the 7-0 Green Bay Packers -- and there are three squads still searching for their first win of the year -- the Miami Dolphins (0-7), St. Louis Rams (0-6) and Indianapolis Colts (0-7). The remaining 28 teams lie somewhere in between, including the Washington Redskins (3-3) who travel to Buffalo on Sunday to face the well-rested Bills (4-2).

Both the Skins and the Bills are losers of two straight, but it's Washington that appears to have fallen out of favor with the betting public. The opening line for the Skins' road test in upstate New York was -4 in Buffalo's favor. That number has since escalated to -7 at 5Dimes, and -6 at Bodog.

Seven points is, of course, one of those key numbers in handicapping. If you think the Skins will bounce back against the Bills, look long and hard for a book that has the line at -7. They will be out there. If you're inclined to take Buffalo at home coming off their bye week, then shop around and find the line at -6. That can be found as well, though it might be more difficult as we enter the weekend, especially considering the rash of injuries that has marred Washington's roster in recent weeks.
