The Washington Redskins opened the week as four-point underdogs against the Buffalo Bills, according to SB Nation partner Odds Shark, but that line has increased to as much as seven in some places.
Part of that increase is undoubtedly due to injuries, which have devastated the Redskins. Leading rusher Tim Hightower is out for the season and top wideout Santana Moss set to miss at least three weeks. An upset against the Bills would go a long way toward restoring some hope in what's been a disappointing season for Washington.
The Bills have the league's No. 3 offense, averaging 31.3 points per game, but have lost two of their last three games, each by just three points. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick owns a passer rating of 95.9 and has thrown 12 touchdowns to just six interceptions, while leading rusher Fred Jackson is averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
The oddsmakers have set the over-under at 46 points. The over may appear to be a safer bet due to the Bills' high-octane offense, but Washington's defense is sneakily stout: at 19.3 points per game allowed, the Redskins own the league's No. 6 defense.
