Redskins Vs. Dolphins: Rex Grossman Taking Snaps With First Team, According To Report

As the 3-5 Washington Redskins prepare to face the 1-7, yet favored, Miami Dolphins, is another ride on the quarterback carousel about to occur? Could backup-turned-starter John Beck be headed back to the sidelines, in favor of former starter Rex Grossman. If practice snaps are any indication, it might appear that way. Via Mike Jones of the Washington Post:

This week, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan had Beck split first-team snaps with second-string quarterback Rex Grossman, who opened the season as the starter but was benched four games ago, according to three people with knowledge of the situation.

Grossman was benched after throwing four interceptions against the Philadelphia Eagles, but Beck's performance as his replacement has not impressed anyone. The Redskins have scored just 11 points in their last two contests, and have lost four straight games. Is Mike Shanahan thinking a switch back to Grossman can prevent the first five game losing streak of his head coaching career?
