Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu put up excellent fantasy numbers in his first career start against the San Francisco 49ers last week, especially if you play in a PPR league. Now, can he keep up his production when the Redskins face the Miami Dolphins? It certainly will be an interesting call for fantasy owners.
The fantasy projection site numberfire.com suggests Helu will score 9.02 points against the Dolphins on Sunday, with most of those points coming on the ground. Helu certainly had a big game vs. the 49ers, but keep in mind that many of those yards came on checkdown passes from John Beck. With Rex Grossman now starting at quarterback, those may go away. Miami is also better than you think against the run, giving up an average of 115.6 yards, which is 14th in the league.
Throw in Mike Shanahan's running back roulette routine, and if it were me, I'd probably look elsewhere for a bye-week fill-in.
