Redskins Vs. Dolphins Score Update: Miami Takes 7-3 Over Washington After One Quarter

With the Redskins offense hoping to gain a spark with Rex Grossman back  in at quarterback, unfortunately the results have been all too familiar. The Dolphins are leading the Redskins 7-3 going into the second quarter.

The game started with a three and out for the Redskins offense, which gave the ball to the Dolphins inside Washington territory. From there, Miami cashed in with an opening possession touchdown thanks to the running of Reggie Bush, whose one-yard dash gave the Dolphins and early 7-0 lead.

The Redskins second possession saw them drive into field goal range before seeing Graham Gano miss a 50 yard attempt wide left, squandering yet another scoring chance.

But perhaps the biggest indictment of the offense came when the defense came up big, with Kevin Barnes intercepting a Matt Moore pass and bringing the ball back inside the ten yard line of the Dolphins. The Redskins offense responded with two runs and a crucial penalty, which destroyed any chance of a touchdown. Washington had to settle for a Gano field goal that cut the deficit to 7-3.

The story is simple for the Redskins: If their offense continues to struggle, they will have no chance.
