Redskins Vs. Dolphins Score Update: Miami Leads, 10-6, At Halftime After Field Goals

The second quarter between the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins didn't feature any touchdowns. Both teams got field goals instead, so the Dolphins now lead 10-6 at halftime.

The field goal party began early in the second quarter. Miami moved the ball inside the 10-yard line, but the Redskins' defense held firm on third and goal, forcing a short field goal by Dan Carpenter. After a Rex Grossman interception, Miami got the ball back again, but this time, Carpenter's 49-yard field goal sailed wide. The Redskins eventually got the ball back and drove far enough to get a 47-yard field goal for Graham Gano to cut the lead to 10-6. The Dolphins elected not to attempt to score again at the end of the half, even though they had two timeouts.

Grossman has played well for the Redskins, save for the interception by Vontae Davis. He has completed nine of 12 passes for 103 yards and has at least allowed the Redskins' offense to move the ball. Now, the Redskins need to get some touchdowns to add to it.
