Leonard Hankerson Injury Update: X-Rays Negative On Right Hip, Redskins' WR Believes It's Not Serious

We still don't have a ton of answers on the status of Washington Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson, who suffered a right hip injury in the team's 20-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. We do know that an MRI was taken and turned up negative, but that's about it. Via Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan.

X-rays taken after the game on Leonard Hankerson's injured hip were negative. But the rookie-WR left the #Redskins locker room on crutches.

We also know that Hankerson himself doesn't think the injury is serious, because that's what he told Rich Campbell of the Washington Times. It's worth noting, though, that Tim Hightower delivered similar quotes after he suffered what ended up being a season-ending knee injury against the Carolina Panthers.

Hankerson suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter after picking up a first down. He caught eight passes for 106 yards in the game.
