Laron Landry Injury Update: Redskins Safety Will Not Play Against Cowboys, According To Report

Washington Redskins safety Laron Landry, hampered all week by an Achilles tendon injury, will not play in his team's matchup against the hated division rival Dallas Cowboys, according to a report from Mike Jones of the Washington Post:

Washington Redskins starting strong safety LaRon Landry will not play today as his team hosts the Dallas Cowboys, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

Hampered all week by a sore left Achilles' tendon, Landry was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday and was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.

Landry missed the entire preseason and the first two games of the regular season due to this Achilles injury and a hamstring injury. This is the same Achilles injury that caused the Redskins safety to miss the last seven games of the 2010 campaign.
