Roy Helu Fantasy Projection: Washington Redskins' RB Remains A Mystery

I wish I could provide a definitive fantasy football projection for Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu against the Dallas Cowboys, but he remains a mystery to everyone. It looked like he was primed for a breakout after having an excellent day against the San Francisco 49ers. Instead, Mike Shanahan elected to start Ryan Torain, and he and Helu split carries.

This week, Helu and the Redskins face a strong Cowboys rush defense that ranks 10th in yards allowed. Will Helu be the starter, though? The team discussed how they felt he struggled in blitz pickup last week against the Miami Dolphins, and with the less mobile Rex Grossman starting over John Beck, blitz pickup is essential. Helu is clearly a better runner than Torain, but will that be enough to start him?

Your guess is as good as mine. Numberfire.com projects that Helu will get 6.08 points, which sounds fair to me.
