Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice, the team's top threat on the outside, has left the game against the Washington Redskins with an apparent head injury, and he will not return. The injury occurred when Rice was hit by two Redskins defenders when going for an intended pass by quarterback Tavaris Jackson. He was helped off the field and taken back to the locker room for tests.
Rice's absence should make things easier on the Redskins' defensive backs. Doug Baldwin and Mike Williams will likely get the majority of the looks on the outside. Both players are capable wideouts, but Rice is the much scarier threat, so the Seahawks will feel his absence.
