Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan continues to get a lot of heat for his play-calling, which is somewhat deserved and somewhat silly because the personnel is also awful. The hits for Kyle have come from fans, media members and now even family members such as his own wife.
Via John Keim of the Washington Examiner:
"I expect to get criticized," he said. "I expect it from you guys. I expect it from my wife, and I expect it from myself. It's embarrassing. I've never been shut out before, and I don't ever want it to happen again, but it is what it is, and you've got to man up and deal with it."
Yes, even from his wife.
"She was pretty short with me," he said. "She said run the ball more."
This was Kyle's way of saying he has no issue with critics, but ... if even your wife is telling you to do something, it might be time to listen. On another note: can we let Kyle's wife get a shot calling plays?
