49ers Vs. Redskins: Roy Helu Starting At Running Back Over Ryan Torain

Fantasy football owners looking to see what rookie running back Roy Helu can do in a starting role will finally have a chance to see it happen, as Helu is listed as the Washington Redskins' starting running back for their Week 9 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Helu will get the start over Ryan Torain, who has been starting ever since Tim Hightower tore his ACL in the Redskins' loss to the Carolina Panthers. Helu has been impressive in limited action this year, but coach Mike Shanahan has been reluctant to play him more in part due to his poor pass-blocking skills. In need of a spark, though, it appears Shanahan has finally relented and will give Helu his chance to shine.
