49ers Vs. Redskins Score Update: Roy Helu Fumble Leads To San Francisco Touchdown, 13-0 Lead

The wheels appear to be coming off the Washington Redskins. It looked like they would at least be able to enter halftime of their game against the San Francisco 49ers down by just one score. Instead, running back Roy Helu fumbled deep in their own territory, and the 49ers struck on the very next play with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Alex Smith to Bruce Miller for a 13-0 lead.

The Redskins initially held the 49ers to a David Akers field goal and got the ball down 6-0. However, on their second play, Patrick Willis stripped Helu on a screen pass and the 49ers scooped it up for the fumble recovery. On the touchdown, Rocky McIntosh got caught in the flat and Miller slipped behind him for the easy score.
