John Beck has now started three games at quarterback for the Washington Redskins. Each game Beck started, the Redskins lost. Regardless of these results, coach Mike Shanahan said he plans to keep Beck as the starter in his post-game press conference, aired on CSN Washington's "Redskins Postgame Live" program.
"Yeah, we're going to stick with John," Shanahan said.
The Redskins play the Miami Dolphins next week. In his latest start, Beck completed 30 of 47 passes for 254 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
Some fans and critics have called for the return of quarterback Rex Grossman who started the first five games of the season. Beck does not turn the ball over like Grossman, but he seems incapable of big plays that Grossman could produce.
