49ers Vs. Redskins: Fred Davis Says Redskins Deserve To Be Booed

Fans of Washington D.C.'s college and professional football team both vocally expressed their displeasure this weekend. One day after Maryland football fans called for coach Randy Edsall to be fired during a 31-13 loss to Virginia, Washington Redskins fans booed their team at different points during their 19-11 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

So far, it appears players on the two teams have reacted in different ways. On Saturday, Terps defensive tackle A.J. Francis lashed out at those fans on Twitter. Redskins tight end Fred Davis, meanwhile, decided to take the high road.

"We've lost four in a row. We deserve it," Davis said, via 106.7 The Fan's Sky Kerstein. "Ain't much more we can say about that."

It's got to be frustrating as a player to hear the boos, but Davis was right to take the high road here. He's also right. While fans booing can sometimes be annoying, it's definitely understandable in this case.
