Roy Helu Fantasy Projection: Washington RB Poised For Big Day In Run And Pass Game

The Sunday afternoon matchup between the Washington Redskins (4-8) and New England Patriots (9-3) may turn out to be a one-sided affair on the field, but there is still potential for Redskins players to amass some critical fantasy points as fantasy football playoff season kicks into high gear. Washington running back Roy Helu is just such a player. In fact, Helu is the fifth most added player this week, according to

Helu has back-to-back 100 yard rushing games, having also caught 11 passes over that two game span. The New England rush defense is ranked No. 10 in the NFL, but if given the opportunity Helu can gain yards on the ground. The Washington running back may do even more damage, however, in the passing game against the Patriots' league-worst secondary.

The fantasy football projection site numberFire ranks Helu as the 14th best option at running back this weekend. The Washington RB's projected stats: 12.22 car, 49.68 yds, 3.33 rec for 26.92 yds, 0.42 TDs for 10.22 points.

For the season, Helu has rushed 97 times for 456 yards and two touchdowns. The rookie from Nebraska has also caught 42 passes for 309 yards.
