The Washington Redskins responded after a second New England Patriots' touchdown, putting together a solid drive that was capped off by a nine-yard touchdown reception by Jabar Gaffney with 1:20 left to go in the first quarter. The Patriots currently lead, 14-10.
The Redskins managed to pick up a couple big first downs in their own territory to keep the drive alive. One came via a pass interference, and one via a long Santana Moss catch. Roy Helu then got it going with a long run to bring the Redskins inside the red zone, and the drive was eventually capped off when Gaffney ran an out route, beating the Patriots' defenders for the easy score.
