Redskins Vs. Patriots Score Update: David Anderson Touchdown Ties Game At 27

The wild game between the New England Patriots and Washington Redskins continues. Down seven points, the Redskins embarked on a scoring drive, capped off when Rex Grossman rolled to his right and found David Anderson for a six-yard touchdown on third and goal to tie the game at 27 with 6:58 to go in the third quarter.

The Redskins picked up a couple first downs on catches by Jabar Gaffney and Santana Moss, then benefited from an unnecessary roughness penalty on Patriots' defensive tackle Vince Wilfork for hitting backup running back Evan Royster on the ground. Wilfork was upset, but the penalty brought the ball deep into Patriots territory. Roy Helu then ripped off a nice run on the left side to bring the ball inside the 10-yard line. Grossman then found Anderson on third and goal for the score.
