Roy Helu Fantasy Projection: Redskins Rookie Looks For Fourth Straight 100 Yard Rushing Day

Washington Redskins rookie running back Roy Helu has had an impressive three week run, gaining at least 100 yards in each contest, making fantasy owners very happy as the playoffs come around. In those three games, Helu has amassed 334 yards on 73 carries, along with 13 receptions for another 102 yards, scoring two touchdowns. Last week, Helu was a workhorse, carrying the ball 27 times for 126 yards against the New England Patriots.

Well, don't expect the Helu train to slow down Sunday when the Redskins travel to East Rutherford, NJ to take on the New York Giants. The Giants have the league's No.22-ranked rush defense, and New York has given up, on average, 465 yards and 35 points per game since Week 11.

The fantasy football projection site numberFire ranks Helu as the sixth best option at running back this weekend. The Washington RB's projected stats: 15.98 car, 72.47 yds, 4.02 rec for 31.08 yds, 0.46 TDs for 13.26 points.

For the season, Helu has rushed 124 times for 582 yards and two touchdowns. The rookie from Nebraska has also caught 44 passes for 315 yards.
