Redskins Vs. Giants Score Update: Darrel Young Touchdown Gives Washington 17-0 Lead

Just like everyone thought, the Redskins are up three scores on the New York Giants. Washington took a 17-0 lead after Darrel Young rushed for a six yard score.

The scoring drive was keyed by an Oshiomogho Atogwe diving interception that set up the Redskins offense inside New York territory. The offense relied mostly on their run game, alternating carries between Evan Royster, Roy Helu, and Young on early downs. On a critical third down, however, Rex Grossman hit Jabar Gaffney for 16 yards to set up a first-and-goal. From there, Young was able to cash in with the score, giving the Redskins a stunning 17-0 lead in the second quarter.

Expected to be a big game for the Giants, the home team has come out flat. If the Redskins can keep this up, they could deliver a huge blow the New York's playoff hopes.
