After a huge day against the porous pass defense of the New England Patriots, Rex Grossman came back down to the earth in the Meadowlands against the New York Giants on Sunday. Grossman finished the day with 15 completions for 185 yards in the Skins 23-10 whipping of the Giants.
Grosman threw two interceptions in the first quarter, including on a deep flea flicker attempt on the first play of the game. He did connect with wide receiver Santana Moss on a 20 yard touchdown, hitting Moss on a crossing route in the end zone to give Washington a 10-0 lead. But with two turnovers already under his belt, and a 17-0 lead, the Shanahans went relatively conservative and rushed the ball 40 times.
